BCC member Asset Skills is hosting a workshop designed to develop National Occupational Standards in infection and prevention control. The aim of this project is to create standards that can be applied to healthcare environments such as hospitals and residential care homes.
The workshop is taking place on Friday 9th at the Birmingham Hippodrome. The event is being run in conjunction with Skills for Health, the UK Sector Skills Council for Health.
Areas for discussion are: - Control of the Environment - Hand Hygiene - Management of Blood and Body Fluid Spillages - Management of Care Equipment - Occupational Exposure Management - Personal Protective Equipment - Safe Disposal of Waste - Safe Management of Linen
