The 2008/2009 Clean Britain Awards scheme is being formally launched at a Press Conference, being held in the Terrace Suite at the House of Commons on Wednesday 31st October 2007. Following the trial CBA scheme held over 2006/2007, the 2008/2009 scheme will be expanded to cover all UK Local Authorities, including Town and Parish Councils, as well as other increasingly influential bodies like Business Improvement Districts and Town Centre Management Groups.
Detailed assessment criteria are currently being drawn up and agreed with key competition partners and sponsors and entries will be received up until the end of March 2008.
Inspection visits will be carried out between March and October 2008 and the expanded Awards will be presented on the first day of the 2009 Cleaning Show at the NEC on Tuesday 10th March.
